Eco-Friendly Efforts

At Naturally Nurtured, we believe that every step in our process should reflect our commitment to preserving the well-being of families and the environment. One of our primary goals is to reduce plastic usage. Instead of using bubble wrap or other plastic-based materials for packaging, we wrap our candles in recyclable brown paper. This small but meaningful change helps minimize the amount of plastic entering landfills and oceans. We want you to feel confident that when you receive our products, you are also contributing to an eco-friendlier world.

In addition to our reduced plastic packaging, we have also made the decision to use thermal-printed labels for all our printed materials. In the United States alone, over 375 million empty ink and toner cartridges are discarded each year, often taking hundreds to thousands of years to decompose. These cartridges can leak harmful chemicals into the environment, contaminating soil and water, and posing serious risks to both environmental and human health. By opting for thermal printing, we completely eliminate the need for ink or toner cartridges, helping reduce this significant source of pollution.

Because of the heat-sensitive nature of thermal printing, you may notice slight discoloration on our labels—particularly when you light your candle. The heat that makes thermal printing possible can also cause labels to fade or darken if exposed to high temperatures or direct flame for extended periods. We recognize that this can make the labels more difficult to read, but we hope you’ll understand that this small inconvenience is part of our larger effort to limit waste and remain environmentally conscious.

As a faith-based company, we draw inspiration from the Bible to guide our stewardship of the Earth. In Genesis 2:15 (ESV), it says: “The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it.” This verse reminds us that we are entrusted with the Earth, called not only to use its resources but to tend and protect them responsibly.
